What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

SAE 2201

At last, an amplifier that listens to loudspeakers.
You buy an amplifier to drive loudspeakers. If you're like most people, you rely heavily on distortion "specs" to make a buying decision. SAE found that today's specs don't tell you ererything. How could they when the tests for these specs don't even require an amplifier to drive a loudspeaker. They use a load resistor instead … a static, predictable, unchanging  representation of the dynamic, unpredictable, ever-changing loudspeaker. As a result, specs can't tell you how well an amplifier is going to handle your loudspeakers. SAE has researched this problem and developed a test which actually measures the amplifier while it drives a loudspeaker.
 2201 Technical Features
High Capacity Power Supply - with toroid power transformer provides massive energy reserve for bass transients.
Toroid Power Transformer - provides a significantly reduced hum field for improved signal to noise ratio.
Turbo-Flow heatsinks - designed by SAE to break-up the laminar air flow surrounding conventional heatskins and thus significantly improve amplifier's heat dissipation under heavy or continuous use.
LED Power Display - provides fast, accurate indication of 2401 output in both dB and watts at 8 ohms.
Rackmounting - are standard rack heights and provide EIA standard spacing for rack mounting holes. Proper rear support should be provided ,should extended transportation in a rack be anticipated.
Transission Line - this amplifier may be connected directly to 25 volt transmission systems and through appropriate transformers to 70 volt system.
Forced Air Cooling - for special application where high ambient temperatures and /or very low impedance loads are encountered, we offer the 4301 Rack Mount Fan System.
